My Story…
Migraine is more than just a headache—yet that’s how many people still see it. There's a widespread lack of understanding about how serious and disabling migraines can be. They’re often downplayed, dismissed, or misunderstood, even though they affect billions of people and can completely disrupt daily life.
I started experiencing migraines in 2007. I don’t get a warning before they hit, and they can last for days. Even after the pain ends, it takes another day or two for me to recover. Migraines affect how I think, move, and function. While I’ve learned to manage certain triggers, others—like the weather—are completely out of my control.
For many of us, relief is hard to come by, and navigating care is often frustrating. More research, more education, and more support are desperately needed—not just for those of us who suffer from migraines, but for the families, employers, and communities that are impacted too.
