My Story…
I’ve been dealing with migraines since highschool. I first started seeking treatment at 18 at the Travis AFB. It’s been a daily battle still 23yrs later. It’s debilitating and exhausting. I’ve spent countless amounts of money on treatment, meds, ER visits, hospital stays, transfusion clinics, scans etc etc. I lost countless days missing work thus missing out on income. I was let go from my dream job due to going over the 4 call ins limit in 23. It’s impossible to get ADA accommodations to ensure my job status and FMLA takes a long time to be eligible. It’s infuriating to say the least. My little boys started getting migraines at 7yrs old. The heartbreak seeing them balled up on the bathroom floor or in my bed crying w ice packs. I had a good regimen for a while, but losing insurance makes it impossible to afford the medication just to prevent them from coming. More awareness and specialists to say the least is in dire need. Consider running ordonating with me to help those suffering.
