It is difficult having a chronic condition that is, for the most part, invisible to outsiders. Thank goodness I found Dr. Schloemer at Froedtert who diagnosed me and taught me (1) that I was not just suffering from ordinary headaches; and (2) that treating the headaches in the manner I was doing was just compounding my issues. Every day and month is a new adventure, but we have found success with some treatments. Plus, it is great that chronic migraines are now being more publicized by well-known individuals, consequently bringing more attention to the condition and potential new treatments. The neurology staff at Froedtert is the absolute best and there are not enough ways to say "thanks".
